RPI staff members Scott Zengel, Jennifer Weaver, and Zach Nixon published an article on fiddler crabs and oil spills in the Environmental Science Journal for Teens (link below), one of the titles from the non-profit Science Journal for Kids. The article is an adaptation of a peer-reviewed paper from the journal Estuaries and Coasts, aimed at middle to high school students. The article and teacher resources are available free of charge and are open access (the original journal paper is also open access, second link below). The Science Journal for Kids takes peer-reviewed published articles in environmental science and adapts them for students and their teachers. NOAA funded and co-authored the article.
